Baseball Recap: Dublin Takes a Loss

Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 16-8 to the Comanche Indians. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kyler Gaitan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Dublin: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Salinas, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Comanche, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Comanche beat Dublin by a score of 11-8 on Friday.
