Baseball Recap: East Greenwich Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

East Greenwich had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 6-7 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Prout Crusaders. That's two games straight that the Avengers have won by exactly three runs.

As for Prout, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

For Prout's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Chofay, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another was Dylan Coutu, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. East Greenwich will take on rival Rogers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Prout is set to challenge their familiar foe Chariho at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
