Softball Recap: Maine East Comes Up Short

Maine East's last matchup with Highland Park could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Blue Demons came up short against the Giants, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Demons of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Maine East is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Highland Park, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Maine East didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-7 loss against Evanston on the 10th. As for Highland Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Niles North on the 10th.
