Basketball Preview: Frost Polar Bears vs. Hamilton Bulldogs
The Frost Polar Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frost is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Frost was the victim of a tough 60-38 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. Frost was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.
Meanwhile, Hamilton earned a 53-42 win over the Eagles on Friday. The victory was just what Hamilton needed coming off of a 63-38 loss in their prior game.
Hamilton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colter Johnson out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mike Bushnell, who scored 15 points along with two blocks.
Frost has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season. As for Hamilton, the win got them back to even at 13-13.
Frost didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Bushnell, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds.
