Whitehall dropped their record down to 13-5 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Emmaus Hornets, falling 12-6. The Zephyrs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Donato Brigidi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Zack Schaedel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

As for Emmaus, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Emmaus' side, Jaden Betz looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Logan Ravier was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tanner Karwacki, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Whitehall has already played their next match, a 5-4 win against William Allen on the 3rd. As for Emmaus, they are taking a road trip to challenge Parkland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
