Recap: Fannett Metal vs. Southern Fulton Indians
Fannett Metal suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Southern Fulton, falling 53-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fannett Metal has scored all season.
Southern Fulton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Ward, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Ward has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Stotler, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Fannett Metal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Southern Fulton, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fannett Metal will take on Everett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Everett is ranked 573rd, while Fannett Metal is ranked 550th). As for Southern Fulton, Southern Fulton and Berkeley Springs will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
