Volleyball Recap: Pulaski Comes Up Short

If Pulaski was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Ashwaubenon on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans on Saturday. The Red Raiders have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Sami Weise paced Pulaski's offense, picking up five kills. Weise got some help from Lola Wendland and her 11 assists. Finally, Sophia Logue kept Pulaski's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Leading Luxemburg-Casco to victory were Rylan Kaminski and Danica Bartels. Kaminski had six digs and six assists, while Bartels had four digs and two aces. That's the most assists Kaminski has posted over her last seven contests. Elliana Mueller also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Pulaski now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Pulaski wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against D.C. Everest on the 27th. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Appleton West on the 27th.
