Recap: Summit Academy Bears vs. Providence Hall Patriots
Even though the Providence Hall Patriots scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, the Summit Academy Bears still came out on top. Summit Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Providence Hall 63-61. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Summit Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Summit Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colbyn Draper, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Draper has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more points the last six times he's played. Lance Green was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Summit Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Providence Hall, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Academy will take on Ben Lomond at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Summit Academy is facing Ben Lomond at the right time seeing as Ben Lomond is stuck on a 11-game losing streak. As for Providence Hall, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Delta at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Delta is ranked 100th, while Providence Hall is ranked 113th).
