Baseball Game Preview: Traip Rangers vs. Sacopee Valley Hawks

Traip hasn't had much luck against Sacopee Valley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rangers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Traip has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Traip is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Waynflete, falling 12-1.

Traip saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Balano, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Sacopee Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lisbon.

Cooper Berkowitz was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Donovan Harvey, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Sacopee Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Traip, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Traip suffered a grim 19-7 defeat to Sacopee Valley when the teams last played back in April. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
