Baseball Recap: Coalgate Comes Up Short

Coalgate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Oktaha Tigers.

Colby Brown made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Jett Burris was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Coalgate now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Oktaha, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Oktaha will look to defend their home field on Friday against Salina at 5:00 p.m. Coalgate will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' contest: after the Tigers face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Coalgate again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
