Baseball Game Preview: Bayonne Bees vs. Hunterdon Central Red Devils

The Bayonne Bees will venture away from home to square off against the Hunterdon Central Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Bayonne lost 8-2 to Manalapan on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hunterdon Central got the win against Vernon on Saturday by a conclusive 10-1.

Hunterdon Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Bayonne, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.

Bayonne couldn't quite get it done against Hunterdon Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Bees avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
