Basketball Recap: Purdue Poly Englewood vs. Speedway Sparkplugs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Purdue Poly Englewood can now relate to. They fell 52-42 to the Sparkplugs on Saturday.

Alex DeLisle was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds for Speedway. DeLisle is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Genesis Austin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.

Purdue Poly Englewood now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Speedway, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.

Purdue Poly Englewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Speedway and the Warriors will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Danville is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
