Calvert Hall (Baltimore, Md.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 3 in Maryland, but was stunned by
Gilman (Baltimore, Md.), 24-14. Gilman was ranked at No. 5 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Maryland coming into the week.
The Cardinals pulled ahead on a touchdown catch by
Kyle Levere, and subsequently went into halftime leading 14-9. The Greyhounds scored the winning points with a touchdown run that came in the third quarter.
Levere made a difference for Calvert Hall. The senior wide receiver caught one touchdown.
Led by
Micah Kiser, Gilman came into the game allowing 13.1 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 28-21 win for GHS.
