Recap: Mountain Island Charter Raptor vs. Union Academy Cardinals
The Mountain Island Charter Raptor lost against the Union Academy Cardinals back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Mountain Island Charter was outmatched by Union Academy at home and fell 78-15. Mountain Island Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-11.
Tarriah Washington was Mountain Island Charter's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Genesis Cooke held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Cooke took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Mountain Island Charter now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Union Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Island Charter will square off against Queen's Grant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Queen's Grant comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Union Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
