Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Angeles). Everything went their way against the Orting Cardinals on Friday as they made off with a 14-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Roughriders considering their two-run performance the game before.

Port Angeles' victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1. As for Orting, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4.

Coming up, Port Angeles will face off against Bremerton at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orting, they will challenge Fife at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
