Volleyball Recap: Whiteland Takes a Loss

If Whiteland was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Edinburgh on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Center Grove Trojans on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Whiteland's offense was headlined by Lydia Bolinger and Lexy Ottney, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Carrie Ginder and her ten assists.

Whiteland's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Center Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Whiteland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Avon on the 8th. As for Center Grove, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Franklin Community on the 2nd.
