Basketball Recap: Greenville Christian Academy Knights vs. Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles
The Greenville Christian Academy Knights's game on Friday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Westwood Baptist Academy. Greenville Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westwood Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Katie Gross, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Gross has scored at least a third of Westwood Baptist Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Maliyah Bardo-Pinter, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Greenville Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Greenville Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they will take on the at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Gospel Light Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
