Recap: Splendora Wildcats vs. Orangefield Bobcats
On Thursday, Splendora came up short against Orangefield and fell 48-40. While losing is never fun, Splendora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 772nd, while Orangefield is ranked 69th).
When it comes to explaining why Splendora lost, one person who can't be blamed is Peyton Whaley. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points.
Splendora now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Orangefield, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Splendora's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lake Houston HomeSchool at 11:30 a.m. on December 1st. As for Orangefield, they will take on Onalaska at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Onalaska is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 70 points per game.
