League recap: Watkins races to league-leading run for Clovis

Marlon Watkins of Clovis ran for the longest rushing play in Tri-River this season against Atwater last week. Watkins scampered for 79 yards on the play and finished with 181 on the day as his team bested the Falcons.

Clovis extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Atwater, 30-22. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Clovis' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. RJ Hartmann has thrown for 1,203 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Brett Stelling has 22 catches for 421 yards.

Clovis West scaled the state rankings by moving to 240 from 328 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Golden Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of besting Bullard 27-14.
