Football Recap: Davis County Takes a Loss

Davis County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against Prairie City-Monroe, falling 42-8. While losing is never fun, Davis County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Prairie City-Monroe is ranked 42nd).

Davis County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Davis County will challenge rival South Tama County on Friday. Meanwhile, Prairie City-Monroe is set to take on their familiar foe Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
