Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Visitation Prep Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Flint Hill

Georgetown Visitation Prep is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Flint Hill. The Cubs had just enough and edged out the Huskies 3-2. For the Cubs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Georgetown Visitation Prep was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-98), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Georgetown Visitation Prep was led to victory by Ellie Calpin and Amelie Meier. Calpin had 14 digs and one assist, while Meier had 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave Meier a new career-high. Sophia Kelly also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Georgetown Visitation Prep's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Flint Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskies beat Georgetown Visitation Prep by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.
