Poquoson kept up with Lafayette until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Rams were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Islanders. Lafayette might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Lafayette has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those eight games. As for Poquoson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-2.
