Baseball Game Preview: Tehachapi Warriors vs. South Spartans

For the second straight game, Tehachapi will face off against South. The Warriors will challenge the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tehachapi will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

Tehachapi came out on top against South on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Warriors put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 8-1 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by seven runs or more this season.

For South's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Encinas, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Tehachapi pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for South, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 18-8 record.
