Basketball Recap: West Carrollton Comes Up Short

West Carrollton was the 55-43 winner over Troy when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The West Carrollton Pirates took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans.

West Carrollton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Troy, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

West Carrollton will look to defend their home court on January 3, 2025 against Xenia at 7:30 p.m. Troy will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Carroll at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Carroll has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
