Jefferson-Morgan had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the California Trojans by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday. The Rockets have beaten the Trojans the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

Brayden Ellsworth was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

California's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson-Morgan will square off against Greensburg Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for California, they will take on Carmichaels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
