Basketball Game Preview: D.H. Conley Vikings vs. Southern Nash Firebirds

The D.H. Conley Vikings are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Southern Nash Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. D.H. Conley will be strutting in after a victory while Southern Nash will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, D.H. Conley beat Hunt 51-45. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Charlazha Wilson went supernova, shooting 57% from the field to rack up 29 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Mariah Aviles, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Southern Nash came up short against Nash Central on Wednesday and fell 59-47. The Firebirds haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The victory got D.H. Conley back to even at 1-1. As for Southern Nash, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

D.H. Conley couldn't quite get it done against Southern Nash in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 as they fell 38-30. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
