Crest is a perfect 10-0 against North Gaston since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Chargers will face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Neither Crest nor North Gaston posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Crest is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Kings Mountain just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, North Gaston lost 12-2 to South Point last Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Gaston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Quill, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

North Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Crest, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 17-3.

Crest skirted past North Gaston 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
