Recap: Somerset Bulldogs vs. Floresville Tigers
The Somerset Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-16 loss at the hands of Floresville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Somerset has scored all season.
Floresville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alissa Hilario out in front who scored ten points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Jordin Johns was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven steals.
Somerset has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season. As for Floresville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.
Somerset will be playing at home against Uvalde at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Uvalde is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Floresville, they will head out on the road to square off against Pearsall at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearsall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1328th, while Floresville is ranked 448th).
