Volleyball Recap: C.A. Johnson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lamar on Thursday, C.A. Johnson came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Governor's School for Science & Math Eagles on Monday, falling 3-0. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

While C.A. Johnson ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.

C.A. Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

C.A. Johnson will square off against Riverwalk Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Midlands STEM Charter on the 23rd.
