With a playoff win on the line, Ocean Springs rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Madison Central Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Greyhounds as they're now sitting on 15 straight.
Ocean Springs walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16, 25-18.
Lilly Rutland paced Ocean Springs' offense, picking up 13 kills. Rutland got some help from Lucy Pepper and her 19 assists. Baylor Edmiston controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Ocean Springs' win bumped their record up to 40-5. As for Madison Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 28-11 record.
As of now, neither Ocean Springs nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
