Preview: Northwest Vikings vs. Northeast Eagles

Northwest is 9-1 against Northeast since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Northwest Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Northeast Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Northwest will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.

In what's become a running theme this season, Northwest gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They really took it to West Creek for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-31 victory on the road.

Meanwhile, Northeast took a serious blow against Clarksville on Tuesday, falling 79-20. Northeast was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-9.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Eliza Brimley and Krista Brandon, who each put up five points. Qimara Summers held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Northwest is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Northeast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Northwest took their victory against Northeast in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 58-34. Does Northwest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northeast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
