Baseball Recap: Pike Central Find Success

Pike Central took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against South Knox, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chargers had just enough and edged out the Spartans 4-3. The Chargers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Noah Meece spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Pike Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JJ Belmore, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
