The Falls City Beavers will take on the Karnes City Badgers in a tournament on Saturday. Falls City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Falls City picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against Kenedy by a score of 4-1.

Falls City's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Krawietz, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Kain Jurgajtis also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Karnes City had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Cougars. The Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Karnes City's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Falls City, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Falls City suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Karnes City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Falls City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
