Canfield came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Cardinal Mooney 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Canfield also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Canfield was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Ashtyn Hanousek and Paige Roberts, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Vivian Biro and her 41 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, Cardinal Mooney still got an impressive performance from Sophia Rotunno, who had 18 digs and one assist. Rotunno has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Canfield's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Cardinal Mooney, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Canfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Austintown-Fitch on the 25th. As for Cardinal Mooney, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Girard on the 24th.
