Softball Game Preview: Centennial Huskies vs. Roosevelt Mustangs

Centennial is 0-10 against Roosevelt since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Huskies will venture away from home to square off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m.

Centennial came into this matchup off a tough 12-run defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Norco by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sharks, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Sharks since May 11, 2021.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6-1.

Centennial suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Roosevelt in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
