Having just played yesterday, the Thomas Dale Knights will jump right back in to play the Camden Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Thomas Dale comes in on seven and Camden on 37.
Thomas Dale has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Miami with a sharp 69-43 victory on Wednesday. Given Thomas Dale's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked eighth in Virginia, while Miami is ranked 56th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Timani Harris and Nylah Wilson were among the main playmakers for Thomas Dale as the former scored 19 points along with five steals and the latter scored 21 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The contest was Wilson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Allie Broadus was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Camden ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Norcross 45-42. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Camden has scored all year.
Thomas Dale's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Camden, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.
