Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Central Griffins vs. Chester Cyclones

The Fairfield Central Griffins will take on the Chester Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield Central has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Fairfield Central's offense. They lost 11-0 to Westwood on Wednesday. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday Chester's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Fairfield Central. While the Cyclones didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Fairfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Chester, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
