Volleyball Recap: Bruceville-Eddy Comes Up Short

Bruceville-Eddy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Groesbeck Goats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2018.

Bruceville-Eddy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18.

Bruceville-Eddy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Groesbeck, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-7.

Bruceville-Eddy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Bynum on the 21st. As for Groesbeck, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Valor Preparatory Academy on the 21st.
