Baseball Recap: Cathedral Catholic Find Success

Cathedral Catholic posted their closest win since May 21, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Sage Creek Bobcats 2-1. For the Dons, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Cathedral Catholic got a great performance from Owen Smyth as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Cathedral Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Kuhn, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Cathedral Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Sage Creek and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
