Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for American Heritage

American Heritage lost to Pembroke Pines Charter back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The American Heritage Patriots' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars a 12-0 shutout. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Samantha Santana was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Bria Villano also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs over those games. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-1 record.

Coming up, American Heritage will face off against Cypress Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. American Heritage's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Cypress Bay's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they will take on Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monarch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.
