Softball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

If Southside was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Lincoln on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Sand Rock Wildcats by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since February 22nd.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Sand Rock, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-10.

Southside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Cherokee County on the 5th. As for Sand Rock, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Pisgah on the 4th.
