Basketball Recap: Ingomar Piles Up the Points Against Myrtle

Ingomar's match on Wednesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They really took it to the Myrtle Hawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-39 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.

Jack Denton was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Brayden Tillery was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points.

Ingomar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Ingomar's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Myrtle, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Ingomar won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against East Union at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Union knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Ingomar likes a good challenge. As for Myrtle, they will venture away from home to face off against Thrasher at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
