Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emmalene Trower and Mariah Moore Lead Broadwater Academy to Victory

Broadwater Academy won the last time they faced Chincoteague and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ponies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

While Broadwater Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-6, 25-13.

Leading Broadwater Academy to victory were Mariah Moore and Emmalene Trower. Moore had seven aces, while Trower had six aces. Those seven aces gave Moore a new career-high. Sterling Stonestreet also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Broadwater Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Chincoteague, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Broadwater Academy will head out to take on Atlantic Shores Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chincoteague, they will be taking part in a tournament against Peninsula Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
