Gooding had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 13-9 to make it four. They came up short against the Kimberly Bulldogs, falling 8-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gooding saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Day, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

As for Kimberly, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-2-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by six runs or more this season.

On Kimberly's side, Mallory Kelsey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. Kelsey has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 19 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hope Ward was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Cann, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

As of now, neither Gooding nor Kimberly have any future games scheduled.
