Basketball Game Preview: Fletcher Senators vs. Clay Blue Devils

The Fletcher Senators will venture away from home to take on the Clay Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fletcher has four straight wins, Clay has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Fletcher didn't have too much trouble with ED White as they won 56-37. Given the Senators' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Commanders are ranked 582nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Clay was beaten by Nease 69-27 on Tuesday. The game marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Fletcher is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for Clay, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
