Basketball Recap: New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds vs. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs

The New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, posting a 89-60 victory at home. New Ulm Cathedral has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

New Ulm Cathedral was led to victory by Jake Finstad and Jevan Wilfahrt. Finstad went 8 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 2 assists, while Wilfahrt dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Finstad has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elliott Hoffman, who scored nine points.

The win (which was New Ulm Cathedral's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

New Ulm Cathedral will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart is on the road again on Monday and plays the Rabbits at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
