Football Game Preview: Frank J. Macchiarola Sharks vs. Jay Hawks

The Frank J. Macchiarola Sharks will head out to take on the Jay Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Frank J. Macchiarola will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Saturday, Frank J. Macchiarola got the win against John Adams by a conclusive 28-8. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Spartans are ranked 458th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Frank J. Macchiarola can attribute much of their success to Ahmed Cisse, who rushed for 67 yards and two TDs on only six carries, and Jayden Browne, who rushed for six yards and one score. Zyaire Walker got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Frank J. Macchiarola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Krishten Wallace.

Meanwhile, Jay started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against New Utrecht. They took a 20-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Utes on Saturday. The Hawks were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Utes in the fourth quarter 8-0.

Jay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Frank J. Macchiarola, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
