Volleyball Recap: Cloverleaf Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Cloverleaf won the last time they faced Field and things went their way on Thursday too. The Colts came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1.

While Cloverleaf might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Field scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, 25-21.

Marlo Downing paced Cloverleaf's offense, picking up 21 kills. Downing got some help from Madi Young and her 41 assists. Downing was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Field still got an impressive performance from Caleigh Docherty, who had 19 digs and five aces.

Cloverleaf's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-6. As for Field, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Cloverleaf wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Woodridge on the 7th. As for Field, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Waterloo on the 6th.
