Baseball Recap: Sotomayor Takes a Loss

Sotomayor and Clark squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Sotomayor had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the WILDCATS couldn't push the score so high this time.

Sotomayor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wes Guardiola, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Sotomayor's loss dropped their record down to 18-8-1. As for Clark, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-14 record.

While Sotomayor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
