The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Beckham Bayles and Kobe Allen. Bayles had a great game and went 8 of 16 on his way to 25 points and six assists. Meanwhile, Allen was balling out in the loss, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine assists.

Juan Diego Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Cyprus, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-5.

Juan Diego Catholic strolled past Cyprus in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 68-49. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Cyprus' Koli Fosita, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 24 points.
